1994 Flatiron 3MB Mandolin
This Flatiron mandolin has a flat spruce top with birdseye maple back, birdeyse maple sides, and a 3-piece mahogany neck. The bridge and fretboard are ebony with pearl dot inlays. The half-herringbone top purfling, herringbone soundhole rosette, and clamshell tailpiece really make this mandolin stand out. This was hand built in Montana during the Weber era of Gibson's control of the Flatiron factory. This is one of the loudest and sweetest sounding A-style mandolins you will hear.
